Beyond the Black, part 2...Uprising Upheaval.
We haven’t heard from the Uprising since the Tag-Team Battle Royal. They had an opportunity to shine, but nothing came out of it. The Dymond Club coming out victorious, and becoming the WFWF Tag Champions. Some say that they’ve been regrouping, collecting their thoughts on the situation, and what to do next. Many thought they’d return to do some damage in other ways, but instead, the Headmaster of the Club called them out, naming them the challengers for the belts. A bold move by the Champions, but worthy challengers.
Cameras find the Uprising, walking around New York City, taking in the sights, the lights, the darkness, enjoying the scenery.
Michael Babylon: I’ll be the first to admit, Gabriel...we’re on sour times right now. We came into the WFWF with a purpose, we showcased that purpose in full effect from match 1. Now, we’re dealing with an issue.
Gabriel Collins: I agree. Since Tag-Team Turmoil, it’s been a rocky road. That was our match, our time to shine. Look at the list of names that came in. We had no-name drunks...a couple of Criminals, two Orange Glow losers...
Michael Babylon: Several no-names, a family that can’t keep from fighting amongst themselves. And we also had two numbskull giants who can’t even realize that their time is done. Hell, Bludd is going after a guy who just returned after 8 years and is still in his prime!
Gabriel Collins: But, did you hear the news? Apparently, Maxwell Bryant can give his boys upperhands, advantages, and put belts on them too, just for winning a match without earning it.
Michael Babylon: We weren’t destined to take a backseat to anyone, Gabe. They must think this is a walk in the park, an easy ride for them. Valencio, Hardwick, obviously haven’t faced two men of our caliber.
Gabriel Collins: Exactly! You’re an international star! As for me? I’ve come into my own in recent times. All it takes, it just one moment to shine, and I’ll break that glass ceiling.
Michael Babylon: Eight years ago, if you were to have said that to me, I’d laugh at you. Tell you to hit the gym, keep on training. After your run in NWR? There’s a fire aching in your belly, a desire to break out. I hope that this match is your time to shine.
