It has been close to 20 years since the World Fantasy Wrestling Federation was mentioned by the likes of anyone. The last time it was brought up? 2002. Nick Burrell purchased a chunk of the company, it's assets, including Strike Fantasy Towers, the IFWF, which was operated by LR Adams before he turned it into a revamped MCW. The last we saw, Bludd hoisted the WFWF Title in the air a week after losing the belt to the Shadow, then announcing his departure to focus on MCW. Afterwards, the WFWF roster dropped like flies, making their name elsewhere, all while the company seemed but vanished. Lawsuits made sure that Nicholas handed the fed back to the Spoons family of partnerships.
Fast-forward to 2021. We witness LR Adams on a video screen, addressing the world, as well as past fans of not only the WFWF, but TWN, MCW, IFWF, FVW, & NWR, about his latest achievement.
"Well, well, well...how many of you never saw this deep in left field, huh? For those who wonder about a man of my stature, allow me to introduce myself. LR Adams...I once created a wrestling promotion based on Family Values...but then, I felt like a 'Freak of a Leash', & unleashed the Mayhem from Mendon. IFWF Commish, TWN GM, & then finally...it was all about spearheading a Next-Generation Wrestling Revolution. Fast-forward to 2021, & what do we see around us? Panic. Turmoil. A major miscarriage of justice. While other sit around & wait for something to happen, I, for one, refuse to do so! The family Spoons, whom I have known for many, many years, have agreed to sell me stake in re-branding the World Fantasy Wrestling Federation!
Now, as I see the Youtube live stream counter going upwards to well in the thousands, interest is there. Some in the live chat...well, those who aren't foreign bots trying to sell garbage, are asking the same question...WHY the WFWF? I say...WHY NOT?!?!?! For 2 decades, we wasted away a good thing, watching it just vanish without a trace. It COULD have been easy to revive either the NWR, even the MCW, but, those are 2 different things. MCW, although my baby, if it were to have re-emerged, it would be like beating a dead horse into the ground once again. It's legacy shall be left where it stands. As for NWR? Dymond & the Dymond Academy still own the rights to that one, they can keep it. The WFWF, was built on a tradition, a family, I intend on re-igniting that flame to once again bring the WFWF to where it was in the initial run, to the top of the wrestling industry.
Someone is saying 'WFWF...more like WTF!'....yes indeed, what the effff...sorry folks, have to keep this one clean, as we all know the social media hunters like to censor any & all. And before you ask, we have a new breed of talents in this version of the WFWF. There will also be some names you're already familiar with here too. Although, some are still locked up elsewhere trying to get out of those contracts, more names will be on the way! And YES, there will be a show coming up at the end of April, Up From The Ashes, at the glorious home where the WFWF made it's name, the Parts Unknown Dome!
Another question was asked on the chat feed, 'where do you see the lineage of WFWF ending from the past?'. Well, for starters, some of the history gets murky after the Burrell purchase, even after the fed went M.I.A....I will say this, there are 2 different WFWF Champions who are listed as the final...recorded history has X-Treme, but the ill-fated Burrell-era has listed 3 Champions....Bludd, twice, then, the Shadow. I do see Bludd as the final WFWF Champion ever, & acknowledge him as such. Bludd, whom many may remember as Trauma as well, is indeed one of the few WFWF Icons signed, & he has agreed to face off against an opponent to be named at the PPV, but we're ironing the finalization on that as well.
To the one wondering about Serikaz hinting at coming out of retirement? I don't know, man. He does have unfinished business with some people who might pop up here, but he was not his usual self for a while now. I see the Dymond Club is popping up on the sidebar, harassing me as well...hahaha, the door is there for an invite. Bring it.
No, I haven't heard from Sunny yet. She was still shocked & upset over Dymond's NWR purchase, & hasn't spoken to me since. I am sorry if you hear me, Sunny, or come across this. I'd love for you to come in & collaborate sometime.
Someone called 'Uprising' is being very vocal right now...saying, we will see you at Up From The Ashes...again, I have no clue who you are, but should this be a threat, we have names that will be ready for you. If it's a fan, wait until the show, you won't be disappointed."
LR ends the Youtube Live stream with highlights of classic WFWF clips, screams of "CAAAAT-FIIIIGGGHHHTTTT!!!" from Tim Farfignugen, some highlights of legendary moments featuring the Color Clique, Rudo Regime, the Deadpool, the Army of Pain, as well as some other moments.
